How this ranking works

One method for every tool. We compared documented features and published prices; we did not run hands-on tests. Value carries the most weight.

ValueFeaturesEase of use

This list is for founders, operators and other non-developers who want to turn a written description into a working web or mobile app. We compared documented features and published prices on each vendor's own pages and scored value at 40%, features at 35% and ease of use at 25%. Starting prices are the cheapest paid plan in USD per month, with the billing period stated, because several vendors show annual prices by default. We paid close attention to two costs that decide the real bill: how many monthly credits, tokens or messages each plan includes, and whether hosting the finished app is covered or charged separately.

The verdict

Lovable gives a non-developer the clearest path from prompt to live app: a daily free allowance, a $25 Pro plan with 100 credits, unlimited workspace members and Cloud hosting grants that cover most small apps. Bolt.new is close behind with 10 million tokens on its $25 Pro plan, token rollover and hosting up to 1 million web requests. Replit has the deepest platform for apps that need databases and background jobs, Base44 has the cheapest paid entry at $16 billed annually, and Anything is the pick for founders who want an App Store submission path. v0 suits React apps deployed to Vercel, Bubble and FlutterFlow suit people willing to learn a visual editor, and Softr and Glide fit internal business tools more than public products.

    Lovable

    9.1/10

A chat-based builder that turns plain-language prompts into full web apps with hosting, a backend and AI features from one credit balance.

Best forNon-developers and small teams who want the shortest path from idea to a hosted web app.

Lovable ranks first because it bundles the three costs a founder worries about into one balance: building, hosting and AI features inside the finished app. The free plan gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, plus 20 Cloud credits. Pro costs $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year, and higher Pro tiers scale up to 10,000 credits. Lovable publishes example costs, such as 0.50 credits to restyle a button and 1.70 credits for a landing page with generated images, which makes budgeting easier than on most rivals. Plans are priced by credits, not seats, so a whole team can share one workspace with per-member limits. Lovable says hosting for most small or new apps is covered by the included grant, with larger apps drawing on the credit balance. The trade-offs are that Default Mode costs vary by task, monthly credits expire after two months, and Business costs twice as much per credit as Pro.

    • ✓Priced by credits, not seats, so inviting people does not raise the bill
    • ✓Hosting for most small apps is covered by the included grant
    • ✓Published sample prompt costs, from 0.50 to 1.70 credits
    • ✕Free plan caps build credits at 30 a month
    • ✕Default Mode credit cost varies with task complexity
    • ✕Monthly plan credits expire two months after they are issued
    Free plan:
5 daily build credits, up to 30 a month, plus 20 Cloud credits a month
    Pro:
    $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year
    Business:
$50 a month for 100 credits, with SSO and a team workspace
    Seats:
    Unlimited members on all plans
    Code ownership:
You own the code and apps you build

Bottom line: Lovable is the default pick for non-developers building a web app with hosting included. Start free, then move to Pro at $25 once 30 build credits a month runs out.

Best forFounders who want a large monthly token allowance and hosting on a single $25 plan.

Bolt.new is the closest rival to Lovable and the stronger pick if you measure value by raw allowance. The free plan includes 1 million tokens a month with a 300,000 daily limit, public and private projects, unlimited databases and website hosting up to 333,000 web requests, though sites carry Bolt branding. Pro costs $25 a month billed monthly and starts at 10 million tokens with no daily cap, hosting up to 1 million web requests, a custom domain, SEO boosting and a choice of database provider. Unused paid tokens stay in your balance for up to two months, and yearly billing saves up to 28%. Teams costs $30 per member per month and adds centralized billing, admin controls and private NPM registries. The catch is that tokens are spent whenever Bolt reads your prompts and project files, so a growing codebase uses more tokens per request, and Teams members each get their own allowance rather than a shared pool.

    • ✓Unused paid tokens roll over for up to two months
    • ✓Hosting is included on the free plan, up to 333,000 web requests
    • ✓Yearly billing saves up to 28%
    • ✕Free plan tokens do not roll over and sites carry Bolt branding
    • ✕Tokens are not shared between Teams members
    • ✕Token use depends on project size, which is harder to predict than per-message credits
    Free plan:
1M tokens a month, 300K daily limit, hosting up to 333K web requests
    Pro:
$25 a month, from 10M tokens, hosting up to 1M web requests
    Teams:
$30 per member per month, billed monthly
    Rollover:
Paid tokens stay for up to two months
    File uploads:
10MB on Free, 100MB on Pro

Bottom line: Bolt.new gives the most building capacity per dollar on its $25 Pro plan, with hosting included. Pick it over Lovable if you expect long build sessions and want rollover.

Best forBudget-conscious founders who want the cheapest paid plan with a custom domain.

Base44 has the lowest paid entry point here: Starter costs $16 a month billed annually and includes 100 message credits, 2,000 integration credits, unlimited apps, in-app code edits, a custom domain and a free domain for one year. Every plan, including the free one, comes with the built-in backend and database, user authentication, a responsive visual editor, analytics, cloud storage and multi-user editing, so you do not pay extra to host a basic app. The free plan is tight, with 25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month across up to 5 apps. Builder at $40 adds 250 message credits, AI model selection and GitHub integration, which Base44 says gives two-way sync and full code export. Pro at $80 and Elite at $160 add more credits and premium support. Base44 splits usage into message credits for AI building and integration credits for actions such as email or file handling, so check both allowances. Prices shown are annual; monthly billing loses the 20% discount.

    • ✓Cheapest paid plan on this list at $16 a month billed annually
    • ✓Free plan includes every core feature for up to 5 apps
    • ✓Paid plans allow an unlimited number of apps
    • ✕Free plan has only 25 message credits a month
    • ✕Starter does not include GitHub integration or model choice
    • ✕Shown prices are annual; monthly billing costs 20% more
    Free plan:
25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month, up to 5 apps
    Starter:

    Builder:
$40 a month billed annually, 250 message credits, GitHub integration
    Pro:
$80 a month billed annually, 500 message credits
    Elite:
$160 a month billed annually, 1,200 message credits

Bottom line: Base44 is the cheapest way to get a custom-domain app with a backend at $16 a month on annual billing. Move to Builder if you want GitHub export.

Free Starter plan; Core $20 per month or $18 billed annually; Pro $100

    Features (35%)
    9.3
    Ease of use (25%)
    8.4

Best forFounders who need a full backend, databases and room to grow into professional builds.

Replit is the most complete platform on this list, which is why it ranks third despite a steeper learning curve. Its Agent builds apps, websites and landing pages from a description, then Replit hosts them with production databases, object storage and autoscale publishing. The free Starter plan gives daily Agent credits up to a monthly cap, monthly cloud credits for databases and publishing, Lite build and one published app with the Made with Replit badge. Core costs $20 a month, or $18 billed annually, and includes $20 toward more powerful models, up to 30 hours of chat and 60 projects on Free Mode, Full build and Plan Mode. Pro costs $100 a month with $100 toward models, premium support, up to 15 collaborators and 28-day database rollback. Replit documents publishing and storage costs separately from AI usage, so founders running a busy app should budget for both. The interface shows more of the underlying code than Lovable or Base44.

    • ✓Starter plan includes daily Agent credits and one free published app
    • ✓Monthly cloud credits on Starter cover databases and publishing
    • ✓Separate documentation for publishing and storage costs
    • ✕Starter keeps the Made with Replit badge and limits you to Lite build
    • ✕Plan Mode and design-to-app conversion need Core
    • ✕Prices are subject to tax depending on location
    Starter (free):
Daily Agent credits, monthly cloud credits, one published app
    Core:
$20 a month, or $18 billed annually, with $20 toward models
    Pro:
$100 a month, or $90 billed annually, with $100 toward models
    Collaborators:
    Up to 15 on Pro
    Enterprise:
SSO, SCIM, audit logs and single-tenant options

Bottom line: Replit is the pick when your app needs a real backend and you expect to keep building on it for years. Non-developers may find Lovable or Base44 easier for a first project.

    8.8

Best forFounders who want a mobile app in the App Store without hiring a developer.

Anything earns its place for founders whose idea needs to live in the App Store. The pricing page lists App Store submission, custom domains and branding removal as publishing features, along with a database, uploads and file storage. Pro costs $19 a month on annual billing or $24 monthly and includes 20,000 credits, unlimited messages, unlimited public and private projects, code export and 50GB of storage. Max starts at $199 a month billed annually, or $239 monthly, with 220,000 credits, parallel agents, automated testing, visual QA with a computer use agent and a 1 million token context. Anything's documentation says credits are used both while you build and when your published app runs AI integrations, so an app with AI features keeps spending after launch; you can add your own API keys to avoid that. Credit use varies by mode, and Max and Thinking modes burn credits faster. You can earn free credits by posting on X or referring friends.

    • ✓Annual billing gives two months free
    • ✓Higher tiers include a 10% credit bonus
    • ✓Free credits for posting on X or referring friends
    • ✕Published apps that run AI integrations use credits per run
    • ✕Max starts at $199 a month billed annually
    • ✕Free plan limits are not spelled out on the pricing page
    Pro:
    $19 a month billed annually, $24 monthly, 20,000 credits
    Max:
    $199 a month billed annually, $239 monthly, 220,000 credits
    Storage:
50GB on Pro, 150GB on Max
    Publishing:
Custom domains and App Store submission
    Teams:

Bottom line: Anything is the cheapest route on this list to an App Store submission, at $19 a month billed annually. Watch credit use if your app calls AI features after launch.

    Ease of use (25%)
    8.4

Best forFounders and designers who want React apps deployed on Vercel.

v0 is Vercel's prompt-to-app builder, and its pricing is the most transparent on this list at the model level. The page publishes per-million-token rates for four models, from v0 Mini at $0.20 input and $1.20 output up to v0 Max Fast at $10 and $50, so you can see what each request costs. The free plan includes Design Mode, GitHub sync and deployment to Vercel, but caps you at 7 messages a day. Plus costs $30 per user per month and includes $30 of monthly credits, $2 of free daily credits on login, access to all models and team chat sharing. Business costs $100 per user per month and turns off training on your data by default. New users get $5 in one-time credits. The drawbacks for non-developers are that pricing is per seat, credits are spent by token count, which v0 notes can be high on short prompts because context is sent too, and hosting depends on a separate Vercel account.

    • ✓Model token rates are published in US dollars
    • ✓Free plan includes deployment and GitHub sync
    • ✓Plus gives access to all models
    • ✕Free plan is limited to 7 messages a day
    • ✕Plus is priced per user, so teams pay per seat
    • ✕Hosting runs on Vercel, which is billed through vercel.com
    Free plan:
$0, 7 messages a day, deploy to Vercel
    Plus:
$30 per user per month, $30 monthly credits plus $2 daily
    Business:
$100 per user per month, training opt-out by default
    v0 Mini rate:
$0.20 input and $1.20 output per million tokens
    New users:
    $5 in one-time credits

Bottom line: v0 suits founders who want production React code on Vercel with clear per-token pricing. It is less forgiving on budget than credit-based builders for long chat sessions.

Free plan; web Starter $32 per month billed annually, Growth $119, Team $349

    7.6

Best forFounders building a complex product who are willing to learn a visual editor.

Bubble is the most established platform here and has the deepest visual editor, which is why it scores high on features and lower on ease of use. Its pricing separates AI usage from hosting: AI credits cover the AI Agent, page generation and image generation, while workload units measure the server work of hosting and running your app. The free plan includes 500 AI credits and 50,000 workload units a month but only a development version. Starter costs $32 a month billed annually for a web app and adds a live site, custom domain, 1,000 AI credits and 175,000 workload units. Growth at $119 and Team at $349 add more of each plus editors, logs and branches. Bubble says app generation does not currently use credits. You can disable overages so a traffic spike does not raise the bill, and Bubble emails at 75% and 100% of workload. Plans are bought per project, so running several apps multiplies the cost.

    • ✓Free plan includes 500 AI credits and 50,000 workload units a month
    • ✓App generation does not currently use AI credits
    • ✓Email alerts at 75% and 100% of workload
    • ✕Steeper learning curve than chat-first builders
    • ✕Plans are priced per project, so each app needs its own plan
    • ✕Busy apps may need workload tiers or overages on top of the plan
    Free plan:
500 AI credits and 50K workload units a month, development version only
    Starter:
$32 a month billed annually, 1,000 AI credits, 175K workload units
    Growth:
$119 a month billed annually, 2,000 AI credits, 250K workload units
    Team:
$349 a month billed annually, 4,000 AI credits, 5 app editors
    Credit rollover:
Plan credits refresh monthly; purchased credits last six months

Bottom line: Bubble is the pick for a founder building a complex product who wants hosting costs they can cap. Expect a learning curve that chat-first builders avoid.

    8.6

Best forSmall businesses building client portals and internal tools on a fixed monthly price.

Softr is built for business apps rather than consumer products: client portals, intranets, CRMs, inventory tools and dashboards. Its AI app builder creates these from a description, and the platform includes its own databases, workflows, forms and mobile app output, so you do not need a separate database subscription. The free plan allows unlimited apps, databases, workflows, agents and forms, with 5 AI credits, 5,000 database records and 500 workflow actions a month. Basic costs $19 a month billed annually and adds a custom domain, conditional form logic, automated backups, 10 AI credits and 50,000 records. Pro costs $99 a month billed annually with 50 AI credits, branding removal, granular permissions, custom code and API connectors. Pricing is predictable because it is set by records, workflow actions and app users rather than tokens. The weak spot for an AI-first builder is the small AI allowance, and the app user caps on Basic will not suit a public product.

    • ✓Free plan allows unlimited apps
    • ✓Builders can be added as app users without counting toward limits
    • ✓38 or more integrations on every plan
    • ✕AI credits are small: 5 on Free, 10 on Basic, 50 on Pro
    • ✕Removing Softr branding needs Pro at $99
    • ✕App user limits are tight on Basic, at 5 team and 5 client users
    Free plan:
5 AI credits a month, 5K database records, 500 workflow actions
    Basic:
$19 a month billed annually, 10 AI credits, 50K records
    Pro:
$99 a month billed annually, 50 AI credits, 500K records
    Extra builders:
$5 a month on Basic, $10 on Pro
    Extra custom domains:
    $15 a month, or $13 billed annually

Bottom line: Softr is a good fit for a small business that wants a portal or internal tool at a fixed $19 a month. Founders building a public product should look higher on this list.

Best forFounders who need native mobile apps and are comfortable with a visual editor.

FlutterFlow is a visual builder for Flutter apps, and its main appeal for founders is native mobile output for iOS and Android. The visual builder is now called FlutterFlow Studio, and one subscription covers both the classic editor and Studio. The free plan includes a free AI allowance and 2 projects. Basic costs $39 a month, or $29 a month billed yearly at $351, with AI usage sized for a simple app and unlimited projects. Pro costs $80 a month, or $60 yearly, with 2.5 times Basic's AI usage, refills when you run out, up to two editors, real-time collaboration and branches. Max costs $150 a month with 5 times Basic's usage and up to five editors. Every plan includes a drag-and-drop builder, more than 1,000 templates, manual commits and automated snapshot backups. The downside for budgeting is that FlutterFlow shows AI usage as a percentage left rather than a published credit count, and the editor assumes some comfort with app concepts.

    • ✓Yearly billing saves 25%
    • ✓Pro and Max refill AI usage when you run out
    • ✓Free year for students and educators at colleges
    • ✕AI usage is shown as a percentage left rather than a published number
    • ✕Real-time collaboration needs Pro at $80 a month
    • ✕More technical than chat-first builders
    Free plan:
$0, a free AI allowance and 2 projects in Studio
    Basic:
    $39 a month, or $29 a month at $351 billed yearly
    Pro:

    Max:
    $150 a month, or $113 billed yearly, 5 times Basic's AI usage
    Extra seats:
$55 on Pro, $85 each for seats 2 to 5 on Max

Bottom line: FlutterFlow suits founders who need a native mobile app and will invest time in a visual editor. Prompt-first builders get a non-developer to a working app faster.

Best forTeams turning spreadsheets into internal tools for staff.

Glide has rebuilt its product as GlideOS, an AI platform for internal business apps that starts from a spreadsheet, a prompt or a file. GlideOS is a separate product from Glide Classic with its own subscription. Credits stand in for the LLM tokens the agent uses. The free plan includes limited credits, 2 team members and 10 projects but no published apps. What to check before you pay

01

Learn how each builder counts usage

Every tool here meters AI work differently. Lovable and Base44 count credits per message, Bolt.new counts tokens (10 million a month on Pro), v0 and Replit count dollars of model usage, Anything counts credits by the thousand and Glide uses credits that stand in for LLM tokens. Compare what one plan buys in your own build pattern, not the headline price.

02

Check what hosting costs after launch

Building is only half the bill. Lovable covers most small apps with an included Cloud grant, Bolt.new includes hosting up to 1 million web requests on Pro, and Bubble includes 175,000 workload units on Starter with overages or workload tiers beyond that. Replit documents publishing and database costs separately, and v0 apps deploy to Vercel.

03

Watch the billing period

Bubble, Base44 and Softr show annual prices by default, and Anything shows $19 on annual billing against $24 monthly. Replit Core is $20 monthly or $18 billed annually, and FlutterFlow Basic is $39 monthly or $29 billed yearly. Glide says annual plans are coming soon.

04

Look for a custom domain and badge removal

Most free plans keep the vendor's badge and subdomain. Lovable Pro, Bolt.new Pro, Base44 Starter, Softr Basic, Bubble Starter and Anything Pro add custom domains. Replit's Starter plan keeps the Made with Replit badge and allows one published app.

05

Decide whether you need native mobile apps

Lovable, Bolt.new, v0 and Base44 focus on web apps. Bubble sells web, mobile and combined plans, FlutterFlow builds Flutter apps for iOS and Android, and Anything lists App Store submission as a publishing feature.
